My Role: Solo Project
Inspiration: Physical interaction design for music. I am a music enthusiast and tune my creativity on the piano. But I have struggled a little to play guitar, tuning and plucking the strings with the right pressure. Hence, the thought of a fun and easy way to play guitar. The main goal is to provide a wide range of sound, increase precision and design an easy-to-play guitar without the difficulty of plucking thick strings.
Design: The coding is implemented on Arduino. Light and ultrasonic sensors are used to detect the position where the virtual string is plucked. It then uses Ableton live software to generate MIDI sounds.
